competing in Dressage competitions are actively
encouraged to bring their own horses to training
sessions.
Note: Students can also bring their horses
to college on one of the wide range of livery
services available at the Equestrian Centre.
The Equestrian Centre is approved by the British
Horse Society as a Training and Examination Centre
and hosts a branch of the Riding for the Disabled

The centre has become a regular venue for competitions,

Paula Zurawel
Paula has recently completed a National Diploma
in Horse Management. She has also achieved a number
of additional qualifications that will be of great
benefit to her in future employment.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed
my course and have gained a tremendous amount
of knowledge and confidence during this time.
I chose to take the non-riding modules in my second
year so that I could focus on the science aspects
of the course more. This was a brilliant opportunity
for me as I was still able to ride twice a week
and continue to improve my riding whilst focusing
on my other studies. I have been a member of the
quiz team for the inter-college teams this year
and this is something that at the start of the
course, I never dreamed I could do. Our team has
won twice this year and being part of this was
an amazing feeling.
The facilities at the
college are excellent and the support and tuition
I have received have been outstanding. I am continuing
at Moulton College and progressing onto one of
their Higher Education courses to study towards
a degree.”
At the Presentation Day
Ceremony in July 2007, Paula was awarded the “Most
Improved Student” prize.

Alison Rumbellow
Alison decided she needed
a change in direction and wanted to pursue a career
in the Equestrian Industry. Alison joined Moulton
College in September 2005 and has recently successfully
completed the Foundation Degree in Equine Management.
Alison is continuing her studies at Moulton and
has now enrolled on the one year BSc(Hons) Top-up

“I am very pleased that
I have successfully completed Foundation Degree.
I have enjoyed studying at Moulton College over
the past 2 years; it has provided me with an excellent
learning environment. I have particularly enjoyed
representing the College as part of the College
Polo Team. Other particular highlights of the
course included the study tour to Ireland and
the ever successful day trip to Royal Ascot”.
