Five Point Breastplate

The Five Point Breastplate is incredibly popular with event riders as it helps to maintain saddle stability, whatever the size of jump or type of terrain.

It’s made using a design registered to Kate Negus and attaches at five points: either side of the withers, either side of the girth below the saddle flap, and between the horse’s front legs, onto the girth.

It’s highly adjustable to ensure the best possible fit and features elasticated sections to allow free movement in the shoulder, along with padded leather sections for comfort. At the front, there’s a place where a standing or running martingale can be attached.

The Five Point Breastplate is available in pony/cob, cob and full, in black and chestnut, and retails at £230.00.

Eventa Grip Reins are the latest addition to Kate Negus’ range of top quality English leatherwork, and are perfect for all types of competitive riding.

The English leather reins feature Eventa Grips. These don’t have the pimple design of many rubber reins, but the texture of the coating means that they provide exceptional grip.

Padded International Leather Lined Flash Bridle

The Kate Negus Padded International range, like the rest of the collection, offers the chance to create a bridle with a bespoke fit, at an off the shelf price.

It’s made from top quality English leather and features a raised browband and noseband with pull back fastening, both lined with soft leather. As with all Kate Negus bridles, the size and style of the component pieces can be selected at time of purchase, to ensure that the bridle bought fits the horse first time.

The Kate Negus Padded International Leather Lined Flash Bridle is available in cob, full and x-full, in black and chestnut, and prices start from £147.50.

Atherstone Girth

The Atherstone Girth can be used for competitive riding and, of course, riding at home.

It’s made from top quality English leather and is lined with soft hide for extra comfort. It has a slightly wider bearing surface than other Atherstone girths, which helps reduce common girthing issues, and has elastic at both ends to help make tightening easier and to even out any pressure.

The Atherstone Girth is available in 42”-54” sizes in chestnut and black, and retails at £135.00.
