Low sugar lick helps combat dust allergies

The poor weather this summer means that hay is not only in short supply but also poor quality too. As well as having low nutritional content, hay baled in the wet is also likely to be quite dusty and could cause problems for horses with sensitive airways.

HerbiLIX Airways is the first low sugar mineral lick for horses prone to breathing difficulties and dust allergies. As the horse licks HerbiLIX Airways, he will inhale rich vapours of menthol and eucalyptus to help relieve congestion and soothe the airways. And, as well as the mineral package included in this lick, he will also be benefiting from garlic, thyme, liquorice and vitamin C which have a more long term and deep-seated effect on the lungs. HerbiLIX Airways is non sticky and low in sugar and molasses, making it ideal for good doers and laminitics. It may be used free-access in the field or stable and will complement a grass or forage based diet.
