Redmond Rock Natural
Mineral Lick
Redmond Rock is a totally natural lick hewn from
the ground in Utah, USA. Unlike some other deposits,
this one is high in minerals, many of which are essential
to a horse’s wellbeing. Since its introduction
by Equi Matters Ltd to the UK last year, Redmond Rock
is proving popular with owners of all types of horses
from family ponies to top competition horses, and
youngstock to veterans.
It not only contains salt, needed by every cell in
the body, but also has a wide range of essential elements
which give it its characteristic pink colour and pleasant
taste. Because horses can take in as much or as little
as they want, it helps ensure your horse is never
short of essential elements, whatever his feed regime
and however his workload changes.
The hardness of Redmond Rock means it doesn’t
crumble easily and is resistant to horses biting off
chunks. As a result it is economical and effective
to feed in the stable or left out in the field, even
in wet weather, for horses to access at will.
The rocks, which will each last a horse typically
3 months, have a minimum weight of 3.15kg and retail
at £9.85.
