of “marking” horses with plaits
to steal at a later date, we produced these
signs for our own use and for other local people,
but are now able to offer them to all.

Check your animals for plaits in manes AND tails
or any other odd markings
Watch for odd things tied to the gate –
string or marker of some sort
Make sure all horse-owners around you know about
this
Inform your neighbours’ who might look
out onto where your horses graze or are stabled
Get your horse or pony micro chipped and/or
freezemarked
Ensure you stables are securely locked/alarmed
Put up security notices
Carry a camera/mobile phone at all times
Take photos of cars parked in odd places or
people near horses
Carry a pencil and paper – to write car
numbers down
