Training the Pony
In
mounted games every second counts so careful training to
produce an obedient well practiced pony will reap the rewards
A pony trained to respond to neck-reining can be guided
and controlled with one hand while his rider is carrying
items of equipment in the other. General flat work schooling
will improve suppleness, obedience and control. Us of the
voice - teach your pony simple commands to work in conjunction
with your legs will produce quicker responses. The pony
must always be taught not to shy away from games equipment
- so plenty of practice at home with home made equipment
will help.
