This
is the term used to describe the make up of an animal. Anatomy
is divided up into several sections that can be further investigated
e.g Functional Anatomy which comprises of many areas such
as Muscles as shown in the horse below. Evolution has resulted
in different animals developing in different ways. The horse
has developed a special digestive system to enable it to digest
grasses and grains and long limbs to enable it to run safely
away from danger. Roll over the image
A
basic knowledge of how organs and tissues work in the equine
body is essential if we are going to be able to look after and
manage horses to obtain the best performance. It gives us a
much greater understanding of how a horse functions. From the
flow of blood around its body, to the make up of a horses foot.
