Current
suppliers :
We have now been running a successful e-commerce facility
for four years and selling products for companies such as
Equestrian Vision, Kenilworth Press, New Equine Wear.
How the
HorseIT online shop works :
HorseIT holds no physical stock. We place the suppliers
products in our online shop and then send them a purchase
order with all the delivery details, as and when their goods
are purchased. They are then responsible for the despatch
of the goods direct to the customer and the confirmation
of this to HorseIT. Orders are sent out either by fax or
ideally by e-mail. (Currently 100% of our order processing
is done by email with suppliers.)
HorseIT actively promotes the products
it sells in the shop throughout the site, to maximise the
exposure to the potential customer base .This is also a
great way of creating additional publicity for your goods.
Each product page has a link to that product or product
section within the shop, making purchasing easy for users.
Pricing
:
HorseIT operates on a trade/retail basis. We set up a trade
account with the supplier and then sell the goods on at
full retail price. All the pricing published on our shop
includes delivery.
Payment
terms & security :
The very nature of customers buying online, means that payment
is guaranteed before any goods are despatched. This avoids
the usual problems of chasing payments for outstanding invoices.
The payment method is flexible so that in can fit into your
existing accounting procedures. Most suppliers are operating
on a 30 day basis, which is the norm. All credit card purchases
are processed using a secure system which is 124bit encryption,
whereas the industry standard is only 64bit, to ensure maximum
security.
Purchase
orders :
These are processed at the beginning of each day of trading
and contain the following :
- Purchase order number, date & invoicing details
- Customer name and delivery details
- Product description & quantity
- Supplier reference number
Delivery
-
A supplier agrees to place their goods in the HorseIT shop,
having negotiated a suitable trade/retail pricing structure
and decided on the most suitable lead time for the fulfilment
of the order to the customer. This is based on the time
it takes from the moment a customer places an order online,
to it being delivered to their door (in working days). A
supplier must inform HorseIT if an item is out of stock
so that we can inform our customer immediately.
Returned
goods & damages :
Customers are allowed to return goods that are damaged or
faulty for review to see if it a manufacturing fault or
occurred during dispatch. All returns are sent directly
to the supplier. If the product is proven to be faulty from
the supplier by mutual agreement, then HorseIT will refund
the cost and postage to the customer and seek a credit note
or refund from the supplier. Any other returns are postage
paid by the customer to HorseIT.
Editorial
copy and artwork :
All the editorial copy and artwork is provided and approved
by the supplier. This ensures that all the information is
correct before going online. Images should be provided either
on disk, e-mailed as jpeg files or can be scanned by us
from high quality full colour artwork, such as a brochure.
If the editorial copy is being specifically written for
HorseIT then it should be emailed as a word document.
Quality
of service :
HorseIT aims to provide a high quality of service to both
suppliers and customers alike. It is essential that orders
are fulfilled as quickly as possible to ensure the fastest
delivery turn around. Suppliers that fail to achieve a satisfactory
level of service will be placed on a probationary period.
If no improvement is shown then HorseIT reserves the right
to terminate trading.
Pricing
structure :
All the pricing within the shop includes VAT and postage,
(with the customer having to choose the price according
to where the goods are being delivered to in the world),
this is due to the problem of having a multiple supplier
base. A customer may buy more than one product, each from
a different supplier, therefore postage cannot be calculated
at the end of the ordering process. The benefit is that
the customer knows that the price displayed with a product
will be the cost delivered to their door. All pricing is
agreed and signed off by the two parties and is only subject
to change with prior notice to HorseIT as stipulated in
the pricing agreement.
Clearence
stock :
Do you have seasonal stock that you need to clear out occasionally.
We can sell it for you. As a new service we will promote
and sell your end of line goods through the HorseIT Shop,
