Horse IT Ltd was started by Jane Skepper in August 1999.
In November 1999 at the British Equine Event the first website created as www.HorseIT.com was launched as a basic online equestrian directory.

The site design and content moved on rapidly and in February 2000 at the BETA International Trade Fair the all encompassing equestrian portal of www.HorseIT.com was launched.

In July 2000, Horse IT opened the online shop and began to run one of the first full ecommerce facilities in the UK equestrian marketplace.

Also, in July 2000, Horse IT launched its self management website system at The Royal Show. This is now promoted under the independent brand of U5 Solutions.
