The Lusitano -
The Lusitano thoroughbred is the oldest saddle horse in the world, having been ridden for 5,000 years. Now that we are the beggining of the 21st Century, it has succeeded in reconquering the splendour of some two thousand years ago when it was considered to be the finest saddle horse in Antiquity by the Romans and the Greeks.

Selected as a breeding and fighting horse over the centuries, the Lusitano is a versatile mount whose gentleness, agility and courage enable it to compete against the finest horses in almost all modern equestrian events.

Nowadays the Lusitano Purebred is in demand as a sporting and leisure mount and as a studhorse owing to its unusual qualities of character and genetic antiquity.
