Healthy Hooves, Happy Horse

Feeding for feet can be challenging at times. You want to encourage good quality hoof growth, while still providing your horse with all the vital nutrients he needs to keep his condition and natural vitality. Now Dengie offers the perfect balance between feeding for feet and feeding for nutrition, with its Healthy Hooves feed.

True to the Dengie ethos of naturally healthy feeds, Healthy Hooves combines fibre sources that are all low in starch and sugars such as alfalfa, as well as a special low sugar coating to provide a nutritionally complete, low calorie fibre feed for horses and ponies prone to laminitis. Approved by the Laminitis Trust, Healthy Hooves also contains added biotin at levels that have been scientifically proven to maximise hoof health. This translates into better hoof growth and actually means your horse will need less visits from the farrier.

The problem with many feeds is that unless your horse receives the correct ration he may not be getting the all nutrients he needs. Yet for many horse owners time is often in short supply. Between riding and mucking out, most people just don’t have the luxury of being able to carefully weigh their horse’s feed every day. Recognising this, Dengie Healthy Hooves has been formulated to make it quick and easy to calculate the daily requirements of your horse or pony. Simply feed 500g of Healthy Hooves for every 100g your horse weighs. To make it even more convenient, one standard round “Stubbs” scoop holds approximately 500g of Healthy Hooves; so an average 400kg horse would need only four scoops per day.
