What does Better
Bones contain?
Bioavailable Silicon
– shown in recent research to be essential
for good bone density, collagen structure
and the utilisation of Calcium. “we found
that supplementing diets of two-year-old
horses in race training with a bioavailable
source of Silicon reduced the frequency
of bone injuries and extended the duration
of training before bone injuries (occurred),
compared to horses fed a conventional, control
diet.” Brian Nielsen Ph.D., Michigan State
University, taken from Thoroughbred Times.
Dicalcium Phosphate
– a combination of Calcium and Phosphorous
in the ratio to provide effective bone replenishment,
in conjunction with Calcium and Magnesium.
Calcium Carbonate, commonly
produced as Limestone Flour, provides Calcium.
Calcium Carbonate has been included in Better
Bones because when fed in combination with
the nutrients above it will have positive
effects on bone health, however, Limestone
Flour is not very effective when fed alone.
Feeding Better Bones from
a young age will give your horse the best
chance of developing strong bones and when
fed in combination with Cortaflex will ensure
healthy bone and joints for life!
Better Bones and Cortaflex
should be fed to all youngsters, especially
those that have growth-related problems,
or are to be worked on immature joints.
Better Bones can also help to reduce sore
shins. Better Bones is available in 3.5kg
a 62 day supply.
