ZorflexÒ is an activated carbon fabric that
has a permanent electrostatic charge. This charge
draws charged particles and molecules into the fabric
where they are captured, immobilised and retained.
Bacteria are charged particles and ZorflexÒ
draws them in and, in the process, removes the bacteria
from the energy source to stop it surviving. The product
has undergone numerous antibacterial studies and has
proved very effective. However, in order to enhance
the qualities of ZorflexÒ, it has been impregnated
with microscopic particulates of metallic silver which
have additional antibacterial properties.
